Important Things with Demetri Martin
Important Things with Demetri Martin is a sketch-variety show that aired on Comedy Central starring comedian Demetri Martin. Each episode examined a single theme, the "important thing", such as timing, power, control and money. All sketches, short vignettes, animated segments and stand-up comedy were loosely related to the theme of the episode. The show was produced by Jon Stewart's Busboy Productions, and contains stand-up, prop comedy and musical comedy by Martin, as well as taped sketches. Jon Stewart took an active role in editing the first few episodes.
Seasons
1. Timing
Demetri has trouble mustering the necessary anger for a breakup, time traveling for noble purposes and measuring his hobo-ness.
2. Power
Demetri ponders the nature of power, proves that bird ownership is arrogant and introduces The Revenger.
3. Brains
Demetri does away with traditional neuroscience and phrenology as he digs into brains.

Demetri considers the many mysteries surrounding chairs.

Demetri's safety tips: Employ scented candles as a fire alarm, use pubic hair for home security, and maintain a healthy fear of piñatas.

Demetri is too cool for clear pants, but he still needs professional help before a date.

Demetri trades in fun, games and audience threats while reimagining pro sports as animal duels.
