In a Heartbeat
In a Heartbeat was a Disney Channel Original Series inspired by real life EMT squads whose staff consists of high school students located all over the country. The series follows the lives of several teenagers who volunteer as part-time EMTs while going to school and trying to maintain their lives as normal teenagers. In Canada, the series was aired on Family Channel while in the United States it was aired on the Disney Channel. The series is based on Post 53, a real EMT emergency response program run by high school students in Darien, CT.

When Jamie catches Brooke searching for a bra via the Internet, Alex accuses Jamie of surfing lingerie sites. Tyler takes out his frustrations on Hank.
8. And the Winner Is
A man that is treated by the squad blames them for stealing his wallet, then Alex blames Jamie for stealing it.
9. A Night to Remember
Jamie's friends convince him to blow off the squad on Halloween. Which also happens to be the busiest and craziest night of the year. Kenny, one of Jamie's friends wants to spray paint his initials on a rusty water tower. Jamie tries to talk him out of it and Kenny challenges Jamie to see who can reach the top first. While Kenny is climbing the ladder breaks and he falls and gets knocked unconscious. Meanwhile Brooke and Nick have tickets to a Hoku concert and are trying to get her autograph for a charity auction and Val and Hank make a bet to stop eating junk food for the rest of the night and Tyler unwillingly gets dragged into it.
10. New Kid in Town
Brooke is jealous of Nick's friendship with the new girl. Val plays Cupid with Tyler's help.
11. You Say It's Your Birthday
Val is trapped between Tyler and his stepfather at a tense birthday dinner. Hank's French teacher has a secret.
12. Four EMTs and a Kid
When a traumatized boy is marooned at the station, the squad must keep Alex from detecting his presence.
13. Friends Don't Let Friends...
Jamie suspects his and Caitie's friend of huffing. Caitie holds a rally (unsucessfull because only two girls appear) to crush the 'system' and the bully principal. Tyler and Val can't get rid of tag along Harmon.
14. Power to the Pathetic
Brooke gets her ears pierced despite her mother's wishes. Tyler has a streak of bad luck.
15. Race of a Lifetime
Jamie enters a motocross competition to settle a grudge with an old flame.
16. Star Struck
The squad is impressed when an action movie star pays a visit, but they soon grow tired of his colossal ego. Caitie helps Val pass a cooking class.
17. Hero
Jamie is hailed as a hero after rescuing a boy from a burning building. Brooke helps a stray dog.
18. The Boy's No Good
When Caitie falls for a preppie boy, she comes to realize that he is using her to get back at his parents.
19. Be True to Your School
The squad becomes embroiled in a heated recycling competition; Brook's friends have a crush on Tyler.
20. Read My Lips
Hank risks everything to hide his friend's illiteracy. Tyler boasts about his foreign sports car.
