A coming of age journey of Shantanu Bansal (aka Shanky) from Laxmi Nagar, East Delhi, from disowning his Jamnapaar identity to finally embracing his roots and being proud in the highly competitive backdrop of chartered accountancy life.
1. Kuyein Ka Mendhak
Shantanu Bansal aka Shanky is living an unremarkable life in Laxminagar, Jamnapaar. However, one day a chance visit to a fancy Gurgaon client puts things into perspective for him and Shanky comes back totally enamoured by the corproate dream across the Yamuna river and a false sense of acknowledegement.
2. Hath Ko Aaya, Muh Na Laga
Shanky is determined to go back to Lunatek, the fancy Gurgaon firm, by hook or by crook. Meanwhile all Jamnapaar forces align against him, making him feel more claustrophobic about his Jamnapaar life.
3. Darr Ke Aage Jeet Hai?
Shanky, after failing to secure the Gurgaon client, finds out there's still a chance to secure an articleship transfer in a Big 4 across Yamuna. His quest ends in public embarrassment as he swears to leave Jamnapaar for good.
4. Papa Kehte Hain!
After securing AIR 5 in all of Delhi in CA Finals, Shanky's father announces him as the successor of KD Bansal classes. However, things go really south when Shanky tells his father he has already secured a job in south delhi and has no interest in running his coaching classes.
5. Fish Out of Water
After a major showdown with his father, Shanky has left jamnapaar and is struggling to adapt in his South Delhi life. However, a lecture leak scandal involving his father makes him take a resolve that he will never return to Jamnapaar.
6. Fake It Till You Make It
Despite becoming Shan from Shantanu and undergoing a 360 degree makeover, Shantanu is still not able to fit in South Delhi. However, one chance encounter with his gorgeous cafe owner client, Sara, gives him a unique mantra to win South Delhi over and that he does!
7. Heart Vs Brain
Shantanu is thriving in South Delhi and enjoying his fancy new clients, cool friend circle and blossoming romance with Sara. However, Shantanu soon finds himself very torn as a very lucrative partnership offer presents itself but in exchange of his morals that also costs him an important family event.
8. Father Figure
Shantanu's mother Pushpa Bansal meets with an accident which brings Shantanu back to Jamnapaar. Ego clashes between Shantanu and KD Bansal erupt again and Shantanu realises his father will never understand his feelings or potential and goes in the tutelage of his childhood idol, newfound mentor and star entrepreneur, Rajat Thapar.
9. Jamnapaari Sab Pe Bhaari
Shantanu is arrested by the Economics Offence Division (EoD) over financial fraud charges in partnership with Rajat Thapar. When all his South Delhi friends and acquaintances fail to stand by him, Shantanu realises it is ultimately Jamnapaar, his own neighbourhood, which rallies behind him in support and brings him out of the custody.
10. Gharwapsi
Shantanu comes back home to Jamnapaar as he awaits the CA council's decision in his case. In the meantime, he makes amends with everyone he had judged and hurt in Jamnapaar. He loses his CA license for a year but realises a much more valuable lesson i.e. it's not which part of the city you're born in, it matters what people are you born amongst.
