The climate crisis is here. But is there hope? Joko is on a mission! Perhaps there is technical innovation that can help us to stop climate change. Joko drives solar cars through the desert and sucks CO2 out of the air - only to discover that the solution is quite different from what he thought.
2. Can the Economy Save Us From Climate Change?
Is it in the nature of large corporations to operate without any consideration for humanity and nature? Or is it possible to generate profits while also doing good? Joko's search for people who want to change their companies not only takes him back to his home village, it also has him overcome his fear of heights on the open sea. On his journey through parts of Africa, Joko observes the consequences of climate change everywhere, looks at solutions that come from the Global South itself and almost becomes a Ugandan movie star in the process.
