Eita fails his entrance exam. He receives a text from Mio telling him she passed the test for her first choice. It's graduation and everyone says their good-byes. Eita tells Komiya that he was happy when she confessed to him but still, he can't go out with her because there is someone else he likes. After he left, she is seen crying in the club room. Eita runs into Mio at Joei; he confesses to liking her and she reciprocates.

Eruruu now cares for him as he becomes accustomed to the village and its inhabitants, who all bear strange ears (the women also have tails). Though these people venerate the forces of nature, desecration of an altar forces them to take drastic measures to preserve their lives from the wrath of Mutikapa-sama, guardian of the forest.

The show features many of the characters from the original Futakoi, though the story and settings are completely different. A manga adaptation of the show is illustrated by Kanao Araki.
