Just William is a television serial first broadcast on BBC One in December 2010. The serial is based on the Just William series of books by Richmal Crompton. This latest adaptation is written by Simon Nye. It is the first adaption of the books since a children's television series in the 1990s. The series stars Daniel Roche as the title character, eponymous character William Brown. With Rebecca Front and Daniel Ryan as William's parents. Caroline Quentin and Warren Clarke appear as the parents of Violet Elizabeth Bott, neighbours of the Brown family. It is directed by Paul Seed and produced by John Chapman. Martin Jarvis, who voices the radio and audio CD adaptions of Just William, acts as the narrator. Various sources suggest that the series will not be returning.

1. The Sweet Little Girl In White

When the Bott family move into Croombe Hall, William and The Outlaws are horrified to learn that they are banned from playing in the woods. But the worst is yet to come, in the form of the frilly-but-formidable Violet-Elizabeth.

2. Parrots For Ethel

Exotic Uncle Neville has come to stay, and William decides to give a lecture on 'intrestin' animals. But with only a dead dormouse and a caterpillar on the bill, things are not looking too promising.

3. The School Report

A bad school report means lessons all summer for William, and Bob the gardener is sacked by Mr Bott! A cunning plan is needed, and portly Mr Bott's unsightly efforts to fight the flab give the pals exactly that...

4. William Takes The Stage

Tomboy Dorinda has moved into the village, and William seems to approve of this rat-catching, frog-stuffing girl. The impending Shakespeare competition seems the perfect opportunity to impress her, but when Dalrymple gets the part of Hamlet, William and his faithful Outlaws are spurred into action.
