Ten kings. One crown. King of Drag, presented by e.l.f., is the first ever drag KING competition series: where masculinity meets artistry, swagger meets sequins, and drag kings finally take center stage. Hosted by Murray Hill and ruled by the illustrious “Kings’ Court” including regular judges Tenderoni, Sasha Velour, Gottmik, and Wang Newton. Each episode features special guest judges, memorable challenges, and a competition like never before.
1. Battle of the Boy Bands
Get ready for the kings to pop, lock, and drop it as they tackle the iconic world of boy bands! First, they'll strike a pose in the sports trading card-themed Weenie Challenge before hitting the main stage for the Beefy Challenge with their best boy band performances. Special guest judges Revry CEO, Damian Pelliccione and the Director of Bridesmaids, Paul Feig, will be here to decide who has the right stuff!
2. The Dong Show
The kings show off their improv skills in a group Weenie Challenge before transforming into legendary celebrities for "The Dong Show,": King of Drag's celebrity impersonation talent show! Comedy pros Jeff Hiller and Bridget Everett join Murray Hill for a Somebody, Somewhere reunion and are guest judges on the Kings Court for this unforgettable episode.
3. Death of Your Fears
The kings face their phobias head-on, starting with a scarifying “Make-Up in the Dark” Weenie Challenge. Then, in a deeply personal Beefy Challenge, they'll confront their greatest fears through the transformative power of drag. With special guest judges Liv Hewson (Showtime’s Yellowjackets), Vico Ortiz (HBO Max’s Our Flag Means Death), and Landon Cider (winner of Dragula).
4. Prom Night
Relive the awkward glory of prom! First, for the Weenie Challenge, the kings test their knowledge in a Drag King History Quiz. Then, it's time for an “Under the Seaquins”-themed Beefy Challenge as they create dazzling aquatic-themed looks and campaign for the role of Prom King. Special guest judges Carmen Carrera, Brian Michael Smith, and Jackie Beat will crown the royalty of the night.
5. A Song for the King
Let's rock! The kings unleash their inner rock stars in a high-energy Weenie Challenge before battling it out in an epic Lip Sync Battle. Get ready for fierce competition and killer performances with special guest judges Kathleen Hanna (Le Tigre), comedian Cameron Esposito, and Aubrey Shea (Revry’s Unconventional).
6. Showbiz
The crown is within reach. In the grand finale, the remaining kings pull out all the stops in a final showdown to determine who will be named the FIRST EVER "King of Drag". Featuring guest judges on the Kings' Court: Tony-winning playwright and actor Cole Escola (Oh, Mary!), legendary actress and "Real Housewife" Lisa Rinna (Prime Video's Traitors), Damian Pelliccione (Revry CEO), and Kylie Sonique Love (MTV's RuPaul's Drag Race).
