Cured of what she thought was terminal cancer, Stella Abbott faces a slew of experiences -- good and bad -- resulting from years of "living for today."

1. Pilot
Stella learns that the cancer she thought would kill her has been cured, forcing her to face the consequences of her "live in the moment" decisions. She is also shocked to discover that her family hid their problems from her: Her parents have fallen out of love; her sister gave up her dreams of starting a family to care for her; and her brother deals Adderall to soccer moms.

2. Re-Inventing the Abbotts
When the INS unexpectedly shows up to Stella and Wes' apartment to check the legitimacy of their marriage, they realize that they need to defend their marriage or Wes might be deported back to London. Peter and Ida decide to sell the house, but when an offer comes in, Peter hesitates on following through. Stella tries to help Aiden step up to his responsibilities and to stop avoiding reality. Meanwhile, Elizabeth is having writer's block and Stella thinks she has a fix, but Elizabeth's husband Diego is not overjoyed by the idea.

3. Clinical Trial and Error
As Stella settles into her new volunteer role as Patient Advocate, she learns that Sadie doesn't have anyone to fight for her. Stella suggests Sadie try the clinical trial that worked for her, but their hopes are dashed when they learn that the trial has ended. While Wes is babysitting Diego's kids, one of them gets sick, and Ida offers her help. Meanwhile, Aiden pushes his father to have a guy's night out to help him move on from.

4. How Stella Got Her Groove On
When Stella decides to apply for a manager position, she learns another secret about her past, forcing her to figure out what she really wants to do with her life. Knowing that they need money, Wes starts secretly working on a project which upsets Stella. With the house sold, Peter and Aiden find themselves in an interesting living situation. Meanwhile, Aiden is ready to take on the responsibility of being a father, but learns some shocking news that changes things.

5. Wes Side Story
Stella feels like she and Wes need to get back into a romantic rhythm, but things take a turn when Wes gets a surprise visitor. Aiden is torn over whether or not he should tell his father the truth about the woman he is dating. Meanwhile, Ida seems to be struggling with Peter's new relationship which starts to cause problems in her own life.

6. Who Framed Stella Abbott?
Stella and Wes agree to always tell each other the truth; Wes struggles when it comes to Dr. Grant; Stella helps Aiden get a job at her coffee shop; Lizzie and Diego try to get things back to normal with the kids.

7. Our Father The Hero
With Aiden facing a growing problem, he keeps the faith that Peter will keep him out of trouble. Stella struggles with not telling Aiden the truth about who really tipped of the police. Wes is not happy when he sees Dr. Grant performing at the bar. Meanwhile, Lizzie and Diego struggle with making the right choice about the twins’ academics.

8. Sleepless Near Seattle
Stella suddenly finds herself on a road trip with Dr. Grant and Sadie to help get Sadie into a clinical trial. While Stella is away, Wes gets a call from his ex about a job opportunity. Peter and Aiden try to find a new normal between them, and Aiden discovers an unexpected new friend. Meanwhile, Lizzie and Diego learn that their son is being bullied at school, which brings out a new side of Diego.

9. What to Expect When You're Not Expecting
When Stella and Wes start discussing their future, they learn some news that neither expected. After discussing the issue with Lizzie, Stella realizes that she might not be as ready for the future as she thought. Normally a ladies man, Aiden realizes he has unfamiliar feelings for a girl at his community service job which puts him in uncharted waters. Meanwhile, Diego’s plan to impress his new boss at brunch turns awkward when both Ida and Peter are interested in her.

10. The Way We Work
Stella and Wes realize that their issues are bigger than they thought and seek out professional help. Aiden starts looking for a job and enlists the help of Wes. Lizzie and Ida begin working together, but it brings up issues that neither anticipated. Meanwhile, Peter’s relationship seems to be going well, but he has to make a tough decision about who comes first.

11. Frisky Business
Stella and Wes feel like they are finally in a good place but they soon find that staying in that good place is harder than they thought. Stella is given the opportunity to help plan an event for the hospital, which touches a nerve for Dr. Grant. Aiden spends money without consulting Wes, forcing Wes to find an investor that no one is happy about. Meanwhile, Peter learns about Ida’s dream and has to decide if he will help her make it real.

12. Love Factually
Stella is desperate to talk to Wes, but a problem at the bar keeps getting in the way. Trying to focus on her new job at the hospital, Stella discovers some concerning information about Wes. Peter and Ida celebrate their last anniversary in an unusual way. Meanwhile, the Abbott family comes to a standstill when someone other than Stella gets sick.

13. Then and Now
After Stella puts her and Wes’s life on social media, they find themselves defending their relationship to the world and forcing them to question what the future holds for them. Peter’s health scare makes him realize who he really wants to be with. Meanwhile, Aiden doesn’t want to give up on his dream of the bar and clamors to find a solution. Season Finale.
