Ali, who served years in prison for his brother's murder, and Mavi, who works in a textile workshop, met each other through letters. Ali fell in love with Mavi before even seeing her. Ali and Mavi first saw each other the day Ali was released from prison. Enthralled by Mavi's beauty, Ali proposes to her. Mavi accepts the proposal, but he has one request: they will marry tomorrow in a quickie marriage ceremony without telling anyone. Accepting this proposal, Ali will face a shocking truth on the wedding day: Mavi is the brother of the man he was convicted of murdering years ago. Realizing that Mavi married him to avenge his brother, Ali is so in love with Mavi that he marries her, knowing this fact.

Mavi stabs Ali on the wedding night, but just as he's about to leave, his conscience overcomes him and he calls an ambulance. The Göreçkis and Mavi's family are shocked to learn that Mavi married Ali to avenge her brother. Ali is taken to the hospital, and Mavi is placed in custody. Ali's family is even more shocked to learn that their son married Mavi, knowing full well that she was Ahmet's sister. Upon learning of Mavi's arrest, Ali escapes from the hospital and goes to the police, telling them it was all an accident, thus saving Mavi. Mavi returns to the Göreçkis' mansion. The mansion's residents reluctantly accept Mavi's resoluteness. Meanwhile, İlyas, believing his father died because of the Göreçkis, sets fire to the Alis' warehouse to exact revenge. But there's something he didn't anticipate: Mavi is trapped inside.

Mavi, trapped inside the Göreçkiler's warehouse during a fire, is rescued by İlyas. While waiting for an ambulance, İlyas tells Mavi that the Göreçkiler family wanted to kill her. Meanwhile, Ali foils Cemal's plan to imprison Mavi and argues with his brother. He also seeks revenge on those responsible for Mavi's predicament in the fire. Despite all objections, Fazıl hires İlyas as a driver. While Hasibe dreams of moving into the mansion, Mavi decides to try a different method to get revenge on the Göreçkiler family. From now on, just to spite them, she starts a game of pretend marriage with Ali, acting as if they are truly husband and wife.

Mavi is devastated by her father's death. Everyone thinks Mahmut fell while drunk, so no one suspects the death. However, Fatma, who witnessed what happened that night, can't bear the guilt and goes to report Cemal to the police. When Cemal stops Fatma at the last minute, threatening, "I'll tell them it was you," she gives up out of fear. Hasibe exploits Ali's conscience. Unable to bear the plight of Mavi's family, Ali brings them to the mansion. This causes a major incident at the mansion. Refika allows the Hasibes to stay on the condition that they serve at the mansion. Hasibe, who has been planning to move in no matter what, agrees despite Mavi's objections.

Mavi, surprised by Ali's divorce proposal, is upset, though she tries not to show it. While the household celebrates the news of Mavi and Ali's divorce as if it were a wedding, Hasibe is gripped by fear of leaving the mansion. Cemal devises a plan to convince his father that the money he gave to Hamza and Sami was for İsmet's gambling debts. However, Cemal's plan backfires, and İsmet takes the blame. As Mavi and Ali's relationship hangs in the balance, Pembe and Sevda's secret escape further complicates matters.

Ilyas, who saves Sevda and Pembe from a big problem, is met with an unexpected reaction from Ali. When Ali sees Mavi and Ilyas on the street late at night, he misunderstands the situation; he thinks there is a relationship between Mavi and Ilyas and attacks Ilyas. In fact, Ali understood everything when he saw Mavi's identity during the marriage proceedings, but he remained silent for the sake of his love.

Mavi regrets her closeness to Ali. She feels guilty for the feelings she has for her brother's killer. Ali, on the other hand, hopes that this closeness will eventually turn into love. İsmet is in trouble because of Gülizar's accusations. The information that will save him from this trouble is with Pembe. Pembe's request puts İsmet in a difficult position. After recovering from the shock of the robbery, the Göreçki family realizes Sevda is missing from home. They search for her everywhere but cannot find her. Their only hope is news from the police. The police find Sevda at the registry office, about to marry İlyas. The Göreçkis mobilize to prevent this marriage. Refika and Safiye go mad when they learn that Hasibe helped Sevda escape.

While Ali chases after the men smuggling Mavi's carpets, Cemal mobilizes to destroy all the evidence. Hasibe, who has returned to the shantytown, has no intention of staying there. She devises a plan to return to the mansion. This plan has dire consequences for everyone living in the house.

Hasibe's deliberate refusal to repair the stove so she could return to the mansion ends up sending the entire household to the hospital. Refika, at Ali's insistence, allows Hasibe to return, but she's far from happy with this decision. The public trial has concluded, and Mavi has been acquitted. Now there are no obstacles preventing her from leaving Ali. Will Ali be able to stop Mavi from leaving?

Safiye cannot bear to see her daughter Sevda mistreated by her mother-in-law and decides to separate them. She asks Hasibe for help. Mavi and Ali decide to write down the things they can't say to each other and throw the paper off a cliff. The police corner Hasibe regarding Mahmut's murder. Hasibe is now forced to confess. She reveals the name of the person who came to the house that night.

Mavi feels she's getting too close to Ali. She doesn't like this and tries to find a way to distance him. Birgül finds a positive pregnancy test in the mansion's bathroom. One of the women in the mansion is pregnant, but none of them admits the test belongs to them.

The owner of the pregnancy test is finally revealed. The news of the baby causes both joy and surprise in the mansion. İsmet, who rushes to help Gülizar in the middle of the night, is unaware of the trouble he's gotten himself into. Ali learns that Ömer, who has returned to Ürgüp after many years, is Mavi's former lover.

Tensions rise between Mavi and Ali when it's revealed that Ömer is Mavi's ex-boyfriend. Hasibe is trying to find a way to send Sevda and İlyas, who are temporarily staying at the mansion, back home as soon as possible. Pembe's confession at Gülizar and İsmet's engagement ceremony causes chaos.

Ali and Mavi argue because of what happened at İsmet's engagement party. Pembe, resentful that İsmet publicly slandered her, falls out with him. Hasibe tells İsmet to stay away from Pembe and that things will get very bad for him. Gülizar's brother, Yaşar, develops a crush on Pembe.
