Emily is a woman in her early 40s who finds out that her husband has been having an affair. When her father dies and she is asked to bring his beloved car back to Cagayan to be given to an old family friend, Emily takes the 400-mile drive from Manila to Cagayan alone. It is during this long and lonely drive that she is faced with the truth about the real situation of her family. In this vulnerable moment, she meets Vince, a young man in his 20s and the next thing she knows, she is in a hotel room with him having a one-night stand. Now Emily finds herself in an unexpected crossroad – to stay miserable where she is or to be brave and choose the uncertain future.

1. 400 Miles

Emily feels lost as her life choices unravel before her eyes. She is unsatisfied at home, where she fails to see eye-to-eye with her daughter Sarah and finds out her husband Frank is being unfaithful. After her father passes away, she sets off on a drive to her hometown of Tuguegarao to fulfill his final request. There she meets Vince, a young man half her age who gets her thinking twice about regrets.

2. Small World

Emily meets her ex-boyfriend Ramon to catch up. He invites her to his home for a reunion with their school friends. As she reminisces on carefree times with her old buddies, a familiar face stops her in her tracks.

3. The Milky Way

An emergency at their family business leaves Vince in charge of driving Emily around for errands in her hometown. The two get to know each other better as they take in sights down roads less traveled. Despite a scheduled flight home, Emily finds herself drawn towards Vince's invitation to find a secret island.

4. Tortured Souls

As Emily and Vince enjoy their secret island getaway, their respective families grow worried about their whereabouts. Vince's parents and Emily's husband Frank begin a search for the missing pair. Stones are turned and the unexpected lovers' secrets come to light.

5. Hidden Cages

Frank appeals to his wife's love for her children in a bid to fix their marriage. He woos Emily nearly every day. As the married couple try to return to how they were, Vince walks back into the unhappy wife's life.

6. Choosing Happiness

Emily and Frank recognize that their marriage is at a point of no return. They question what will become of their lives as they see how it is to live without each other.
