Huang Xiao Yu, the head of the martial arts Bo Wu sect, participates in martial arts competitions to revitalize the martial arts faction and one day accidentally becomes the female bodyguard of the popular actor Yuan Fan. Yuan Fan is perturbed by her as he always feels that Xiao Yu has two faces; how she acts at night vs the day are completely different. It turned out that when the popular martial arts game "New Douluo Continent" endorsed by Yuan Fan was shut down, NPC Bo Ye accidentally crossed the real world when chasing down the villain Nightmare and possessed Huang Xiao Yu. Now Xiao Yu and Yuan Fan are caught in a series of conspiracies...and they also discover that their fate has long been destined
Seasons
1. Episode 1
Boye, video game character, enters into the real world and can only be seen by Huang Xiaoyu, the head of Bo Wu faction. Lu Li (Xiaoyu's older brother) drags Xiaoyu and Boye (unbeknownst to him) to watch him participate in a tournament.
2. Episode 2
Xiaoyu follows the suspicious man and ends up in Yuan Fan's dressing room, where both misunderstand the others intention. Going back to the tournament Xiaoyu realizes that Fan is a judge and is forced to participate when Lu Li resigns.
3. Episode 3
Xiaoyu's flashback explains Boye cannot stray too far away from Xiaoyu. Yuan Fan visits Xiaoyu in the hospital and saves her from the suspicious person that was present at the tournament. Yan (Nightmare) has also entered the real world.
4. Episode 4
Xiaoyu and Yuan Fan are entangled in a romance scandal. In order to quite down the rumors and keep Fan safe, An Jie hires Xiaoyu as Fan's bodyguard, against Yuan Fan's wishes.
5. Episode 5
Xiaoyu moves into Yuan Fan's apartment and is given strict rules by An Jie on code of conduct and prohibited spaces in the apartment. Boye is excited about the move because she feels Fan can help her go back to her world.
6. Episode 6
Boye and Xiaoyu finally realize that Boye is from the game New Douro Continent, which is a game endorsed by Yuan Fan. Boye is upset and hurt knowing she is from a fictional world.
7. Episode 7
Xiaoyu's tries to cheer up Boye knowing that she must be hurting. Xiaoyu also tries to apologize to Yuan Fan about her behavior the night before but is unable to explain to him what happened causing him to believe she really is crazy.
8. Episode 8
Yuan Fan invites his friend Fu Tuo to occupy Xiaoyu's time so he can go to the doctor alone. Xiaoyu starts to worry when is out by himself for too long and goes out to find him when she gets a strange text.
9. Episode 9
Xiaoyu finds Yuan Fan tied up in an abandoned warehouse. With the help of Boye she is able to rescue him and get him out.
10. Episode 10
Yuan Fan sticks up for Xiaoyu against An Jie realizing he can rely on Xiaoyu to protect him. During a call with Lu Li, Xiaoyu and Boye find out that he had found the crystal and sold it to make money.
11. Episode 11
Boye realizes that the anti-fan was actually drawing her out and apologizes to Xiaoyu for putting Xiaoyu and Yuan Fan in danger. Boye tells Xiaoyu Yan's backstory so they can better understand how they might be able to defeat him.
12. Episode 12
Yuan Fan sneaks up on Xiaoyu intending to scare her but she accidentally hurts his nose in the process. The doctor comes in and checks on Fan's nose. At the insistence of Fan the doctor also check out Xiaoyu's injured shoulder.
13. Episode 13
Xiaoyu and Yuan Fan practice lines on video to send over to the casting director of a movie. Xiaoyu is unable to do a good job because she keeps finding issue with his acting or the script.
14. Episode 14
Yuan Fan and Fu Tuo are at the gym exercising when Fu Tuo notices Fan's changing attitude towards Xiaoyu.
15. Episode 15
Boye and Xiaoyu find out the maker of the stone and their connection with Bo Wu faction through information online about the game. In order to return Boye back to the game it will require Yuan Fan's help.
16. Episode 16
Xiaoyu approaches Yuan Fan to convince him to take her to see the maker of New Douro Continent.
17. Episode 17
Xiaoyu decides to put on a martial arts performance for Yuan Fan as his birthday gift since he already can afford everything he wants. Yuan Fan invites Dai Yilun to his birthday party so Xiaoyu can meet him.
18. Episode 18
The Ice Stone turns up at Yuan Fan's birthday party and Xiaoyu goes to great lengths to acquire it possibly effecting the new relationships she has built with Yuan Fan and his friends.
19. Episode 19
Xiaoyu tries to apologize to Yuan Fan after his birthday party but ends up arguing with him when he asks for an explanation to her behavior. Boye offers to step in to help but Xiaoyu rejects the idea as it would just cause more confusion.
20. Episode 20
Xiaoyu gets Yuan fan a birthday gift before she leaves but happens to hear him on the phone with An Jie causing Xiaoyu to change her opinion on Yuan Fan's character.
21. Episode 21
Yuan Fan realizes that Xiaoyu left because An Jie fired her. After multiple calls go unanswered and Xiaoyu's phone gets turned off, Yuan fan starts to wonder if maybe she overheard his conversation with An Jie.
22. Episode 22
Zhong Qang, the leader of Leigu Faction, breaks into Bo Wu faction to save his reputation. Xiaoyu challenges him and is able to defend her faction without Boye's help.
23. Episode 23
Xiaoyu is taken back to Yuan Fan's apartment so she can recover from her injury. Lu Li comes over as well to make sure that Xiaoyu is taken care of and that she eats the food that she likes.
24. Episode 24
Xiaoyu tries to sneak out of Yuan Fan's apartment but ends up seeing him. Unable to hide anymore she confronts him about his cheating and tells him she will no longer be there to protect him.
