The segment went on to become its own 'show within a show' and clips have since racked up hundreds of thousands of views online. New Zealand Today takes Guy Williams around the country checking out strange and unusual goings-on in regional New Zealand.

Guy vists Gisborne to investigate Heil's Kitchen run by the Mongrel Mob. Guy also heads back to Marton to catch up with Josh and Issac and to investigate the supernatural.

Guy visits Opononi to investigate their obsession with with Opo, a dolphin who visited over 50 years ago. Next Guy heads to Gore to hunt Lana Tutty who went into hiding after a bad mugshot.

Guy visits Christchurch to see if Karen got her $20 back. Guy also heads to Murupara to find out who stole their only ATM.

Guy visits Invercargill to meet the legendary Ukuledy/Ukulady. Next he heads to Ellerslie to investigate performance enhancing drugs in Mascot racing.
