1. Episode 1
Soichi Shindo has been appointed as the new anchor of the night news program "Newsgate" on the commercial TV station JBN. "Newsgate" is a flagship program with a 40-year history, but in recent years its viewer ratings have been sluggish. In an effort to turn things around, JBN's Chairman Sadao Kunisada lured him away from the public broadcasting station. On his first day in office, Shindo tells the staff, "I'm here to fix this program." Sakikubo Hana, who has just been selected as the program's general director, is caught between Shindo and the veteran staff , declaring one unconventional style after another. The highlight of the first episode of the renewed series is a live appearance by Chief Cabinet Secretary Tsuyoshi Hanyu. However, his secretary suddenly cancels the appearance.

2. Episode 2
Police raided a sports bar in Roppongi, and employees and customers were arrested on suspicion of gambling. JBN was in a panic when they found out that Japan's volleyball ace Nawa (Suzuki Takayuki) and announcer Koike (Tsukishiro Kanato) , who were also there, were voluntarily taken into custody. What's more, E-Stream, who learned of the commotion, said it would withdraw from its role as the main sponsor of the International Volleyball Championship.
