Presenter Lolly Spence tracks down family heirlooms and prized possessions from Ulster’s bygone days in desperate need of repair, exploring historic and cultural connections to the Ulster-Scots story. The first object up for repair is one that’s very close to home for Lolly – a battered old bible that’s been in her family since the 1800s. But after sitting in an attic for decades, can it be returned to its former glory?

2. Episode 2

Lolly meets the owner of a vintage barn thresher in County Antrim. After years of neglect, our restorer has a major challenge on his hands to get the thresher ready in time for a popular agricultural show.

3. Episode 3

Lolly meets the owner of a vintage steamer trunk used during the golden age of transatlantic travel. After years of use and abuse, the trunk has seen better days - restoring it back to working order won’t be easy.

Lolly meets the owner of an historic set of bagpipes with links to the First World War. The pipes haven’t been played in decades and our restorers have another daunting challenge on their hands.
