Despite their differences in character, Kofler and Costa understand that they must team up to solve the case, even if the investigation puts a strain on Paolo's love life.
3. Evening Echoes (1)
A murder complicates the case of a stolen Egon Schiele painting. Could a bombing from 1968 hold the key to help Eva and Paolo solve the crime?
4. Evening Echoes (2)
The discovery of the body of the owner of the stolen painting complicates Mathilde's situation. Searching the archives, Eva and Paolo find a lead that could lead them to the Monster.
5. The Third Level (1)
Eva is assigned a violent hockey case that threatens to divide Bolzano's fragile community of German and Italian speakers. Paolo must continue with the Monster case on his own.

As Eva gets closer to solving Matteo's case, she finds herself having to deal with a deep crisis with her husband Andreas. Paolo, meanwhile, makes important discoveries about the Monster.

The Monster case is put on hold when Paolo and Eva are suddenly assigned to another investigation. As their personal lives unravel, will they fight for themselves - or for each other?
