Pilot Candidate
The planet Zion is mankind's last hope for survival. But the legions of Victim are intent on destroying humanity! Five humanoid fighting weapons called Ingrids are capable of stopping the onslaught, but only the best pilots are chosen to become Pilot Candidates. The fate of Zion rests with these chosen few.
Seasons
1. Curriculum 00 Connection
Zero, Hiead and Clay are rare boys who possess the special abilities that make them eligible for entrance into G.O.A., the training academy for Pilot Candidates.
2. Curriculum 01 In Tune
Inside the White Ingrid, Zero encounters a mysterious girl who beckons him closer. He recalls a childhood memory of being saved by the White Goddess when his colony was attacked.
3. Curriculum 02 EX
Zero has been removed from the cockpit of the White Ingrid, and lies unconscious in sick bay. He continues to have strange dreams. Meanwhile, outside, the attack on G.O.A. continues.
4. Curriculum 03 Self Awareness
Zero and the other candidates undergo thorough physical examinations to ensure that they are fit enough to become pilot candidates. During the examinations, an amazing discovery is made about Zero – he has no physical imperfections.
5. Curriculum 04 Partner
The Pilot Candidates are introduced to the Repairer Candidates – the females who will serve as their partners. Repairer candidates are responsible for the maintenance and repairs on the PRO-ING training suits.
6. Curriculum 05 Combination
Due to their extensive training, Zero and Kizna begin to develop a deep bond as partners. With Kizna’s guidance and Zero’s motivation, they appear to be doing well.
7. Curriculum 06 PRO-ING
Zero’s group is to engage in battle simulations with the Top 5 pilot candidates. But, before the battle, Zero’s missing memories begin to return.
8. Curriculum 07 Ground Battle
Zero fights in the PRO-ING battle simulations, but when he finally gets blown out of the simulation ring, he sees a vision of Kizna from her childhood.
9. Curriculum 08 Death
Zero fights in the PRO-ING battle simulations, but when he finally gets blown out of the simulation ring, he sees a vision of Kizna from her childhood.
10. Curriculum 09 Dream
Erts replaces one of the pilots who has fallen in battle, but this is not a happy occasion for him. Meanwhile, Clay becomes very curious about what Zero saw when he was in the White Ingrid. He suggests hypnosis to help Zero remember what he saw and heard.
11. Curriculum 10 Jealousy
Hiead overdoes it in practice and pushes his EX too far, resulting in severe injury. Ikhny blames herself for not having a better relationship with him, like Kizna has with Zero.
12. Curriculum 11 Driftage
Victim attacks during the Top Candidate tests, and Zero and the other candidates are pulled into the battlefield. Unaware that his PRO-ING has been sabotaged, Zero enters the battle and is easily defeated.
