Salty
Adventures of two orphaned brothers, Tim and Taylor, whose parents were killed by a tornado in the Gulf of Mexico. The brothers meet Clancy, an old circus hand, who was driving a bus. Aboard the bus was a menagerie including a pig, a pelican and a sea lion named Salty. Clancy adopts the two boys and takes them to his home, a marina.

A recluse thinks he and his treasure of gold are safe from the world, especially from his ex-partner, who is already on his trail. An outing for Tim and Rod turns into an entrapment in an abandoned house on a deserted island.

A second sea lion comes into the lives of Tim, Taylor, and Clancy when Splash shows up at the marina. Salty acts very withdrawn, leading everyone to believe that he is jealous of the visiting sea lion.
16. A New Friend
A friend of Rod's, visiting the island for a few weeks, is afraid both of the water and Salty.
17. Price of Freedom
Salty is missing. He's been caught in the net of Dobbs, the fisherman, who claims Salty for himself.
18. For the Love of Clancy
Clancy expects a very special visitor, Maggie Brown, a woman he once loved, who is now widowed. Fearing Clancy will leave the marina and go to New York to marry Maggie, Tim runs away.
19. Aunt Cleo
Aunt Cleo has an adventurous outing when she joins Tim on a nautical picnic.

Tim and Salty find a Lucayan Indian neckpiece in the sand. Tim is led to believe that it brings good luck to the wearer.
