Glenn applies as a chef at a star restaurant and Yola is able to close an important deal at work. However, Yola's criminal mother Erveline wants Yola to join the family business with her brothers Nando and Edson. Sharon, Yola's best friend, has heard that his ex-boyfriend 'Kikker' is out of jail again, while Glenn's friend Jermaine wants to deal drugs on 'Kikker's property. Glenn warns Jermaine to be careful, but Jermaine chooses his own path anyway.

The life that Glenn and Yola envision is increasingly in danger. Glenn tries to do a good job as a chef, but his patience is tested by his new colleagues. Erveline is struggling with health problems and is trying to strengthen ties with Yola, who is about to leave for Senegal for work. Jermaine finds out that he has a huge debt owed to 'Kikker' and after much insistence, Glenn helps him with a job, but has to call in sick at his new job. Meanwhile, the Dos Santos family business is reaching a boiling point.

Glenn and Yola's relationship becomes strained when Yola confronts Glenn with his lies and Glenn expresses doubts about Erveline's sincerity. In the meantime, Erveline is looking at the new real estate project she wants to start with her children. She also goes out with new employee Zenaida, who strikes a chord with her. Jermaine has to solve a problem and in the meantime emotions are running higher at Glenn's work. Yola is forced to make a drastic decision about her and Glenn.

'Kikker' tries to gain a foothold in the real estate world and hopes to convince Sharon to get closer to son Jamey. Glenn and Jermaine look for new work and take on a dangerous job. This leads to increasing tensions with Glenn, who hides things in his grandmother's house. Now that Glenn has broken up, Yola is moving more towards Erveline and is having a good time with a colleague. Erveline goes to a charity gala and sends Zenaida into town, where she meets Jermaine and Glenn. After a boisterous night out in Rotterdam, disaster strikes for Glenn, Zenaida and Jermaine.

After the accident, Glenn and Jermaine panic. Erveline wants to find the perpetrator at all costs to restore Zenaida's honor. Brothers Edson and Nando investigate and quickly discover that Glenn has something to do with it. Glenn and Jermaine look for help in every possible place. During the real estate deal, 'Kikker' ends up sitting opposite Edson and wonders how the Dos Santos family makes money. Yola and her colleague Henry become closer.

Glenn and Jermaine have to do a job for 'Kikker', which Glenn is not happy about. While Yola is at the Dos Santos family warehouse to talk to her brothers about Glenn, they receive an unpleasant visitor. Nando and Edson get into serious trouble. Glenn tries to convince Yola to leave together. 'Kikker' investigates the Dos Santos family's grogue to find out their business plan and receives an offer from an unexpected source.

Erveline is in danger of losing control now that police officer Nico smells trouble. Nando and Edson are put under a lot of pressure to speak in the interrogation room. Glenn and Jermaine perform a dirty job for 'Kikker', causing Glenn and Jermaine to get into a fight. Yola cleans out the family lab at her mother's insistence and is urged by Glenn to leave with him. She only finds herself in a difficult situation when she meets Henry in the harbor.

The police searches for Nico, while Erveline slowly panics and goes crazy. She still tries with all her might to emerge victorious. Edson makes a personal confession during his interrogation. Yola and Glenn make a promise to each other, but first they have to complete an important job for Erveline to really be free. To do this, they have to come face to face with an old acquaintance.
