Steve explores the radical variety of sharks in the Atlantic Ocean and marks the start of a global journey in the so-called shark capital of the world, the Bahamas.

2. Sharks of the Indian Ocean

Steve learns about the sharks of the Indian Ocean, which despite finding ways to adapt to the environment, face threats from climate change, pollution and overfishing.

3. Sharks of the Pacific Ocean

Steve Backshall heads to the Pacific Ocean to look for shark hotspots. He visits the Cocos Island, which is administered by Costa Rica and is a favourite of scuba divers.

4. North Atlantic Special

Steve Backshall travels from the icy waters of Alaska to the tropics to study the secret life of sharks. In the process, he shows that these endangered animals are not monsters.
