Conceição is a poor girl that left Minas Gerais in search for a new life, away from the coal ovens. She runs away on a cargo train to Rio de Janeiro, where later she takes shelter with a loving family in Rio's suburbs. She falls in love with Cleiton, a hard working and rebel young man, who grew up without a father and lives between good and evil. Conceição becomes a brazilian funk star, but she doesn't loose her pure nature, reassuring her integrity before the obstacles of life. These common people face a recurring dilemma to all of us: How to maintain your notion of justice, ethics and morals, in times of violence, inequity and decadence of values?

1. Episode 1

Conceição loses her brother and goes to Rio de Janeiro to try a new life.

2. Episode 2

Conceicao and Cleiton start a romance.

3. Episode 3

Conceicao wins first place in the baile funk of Madureira, begins to study with Cleiton and starts to work on a gas station.

4. Episode 4

Conceicao is named Suburbia in the baile funk of Madureira. Cleiton goes too far and Suburbia runs away half naked from a motel.

5. Episode 5

Cleiton takes a turn to the wrong side. Conceicao's carrer as a brazilian funk star goes on.

6. Episode 6

After finishing Tutuca off, Cleiton truly joins the drug war, and Conceicao becomes devastated to know that her love became a thug. Cleiton is infatuated watching Conceicao making arrangements for mr. Aloysio's party.

7. Episode 7

Queen Conceicao! The girl from Minas Gerais is invited to be "rainha de bateria" at mr. Aloysio's party. End of the line: Cleiton falls into a trap and is killed by Bacana's henchmen.

8. Episode 8

Cleiton returns and wins back Conceicao's heart. He wasn't dead after all! The girl is also crowned as "rainha de bateria" for the União Carioca samba school.
