Take a Letter, Mr Jones was a short-lived 1981 British sitcom produced by Southern Television for ITV. It ran for a single series of six episodes. Graham Jones works as personal secretary to female executive Joan Warner within a London-based multinational corporation called 8-Star. Although he ably assists her in their busy office, Graham often helps Joan with her equally hectic domestic arrangements as she is a single mother to seven-year-old Lucy.

1. The Interview
Joan grows increasingly hesitant about to a big interview with a reporter regarding being a successful businesswoman. Complications occur when Lucy needs to go to the dentist.
2. The Protector
Joan is running late and misses an appointment with an Australian businessman. Graham is left to entertain him but he drinks a bit too much.
3. The Holiday
Graham is about to go on holiday but must complete a report before he leaves, however, Joan is sick. Graham calls in and finds himself involved with an injured Maria and looking after Lucy.
4. The Japanese Contract
Eight Star is about to sign a very large contract with a Japanese company and everybody's on tenterhooks as they try to get all the Japanese customs exactly right. Unfortunately, the dinner at Joan's apartment doesn't go nearly as well.
5. The Trade Fair
There's a trade fair in Milan and Joan is suddenly required to attend. Disappointed as she was to spend time with Lucy, Joan ultimately takes Maria and Lucy with her, which was never going to be easy.
6. Business Before Pleasure
A chief executive has arrived from America and it puts the office, particularly Joan, in a flap. Joan also takes advantage of Graham's generous nature and expects him to give up a lot in order to stay in her boss's good books.
