A three-part OVA series that will tell a story that takes place before Chise meets Magus. Angelica sends Chise some magical supplies, including a gift. The gift turns out to be a book that Chise read in her childhood. Elias asks Chise to tell him the story behind the book. Chise tells him about Miura-san and the mysterious library she found in the forest when she was a child.

2. Those Awaiting a Star Part 2
The magician of the forest invites Chise into his library. Chise is reluctant at first, but they develop a strong friendship that would have a lasting influence on her.
3. Those Awaiting a Star Part 3
Chise continues her story. When Chise left the cottage, she saw Miura's spirit who told her about Niikura Mayumi, a young woman whom he was attracted to, but their relationship could not progress because of their different positions. Back in the present, Chise finds Niikura Mayumi who is now an old woman in hospital, and gives her the book for which she is very grateful.
