"The Company" is a testament, to how much Chinese series, have matured. This is a well crafted sci fi tale of time travel with a historical perspective grounded, unsurprisingly, in China's rich history.
Characterisations are excellent with strong chemistry between the likable, cast of characters.
What I found particularly interesting, about this series too, is it doesn't necessarily offer up convienient, pre packaged solutions to, at times, uncomfortable, historical truths. There is not always an outcome, that see's a happy ending for all.
Downsides are a little predictable. The tendancy for Asian series to throw in a little overly sugary sentimentalism and mild slapstick, is present but thankfully its used sparingly.
In summary, a well written, mature series, that both likable and sophisticated enough, to be thought provoking. A reccomended watch, for fans of time travel, sci fi.
