The Culture of Sex
The odyssey of Rodrigo Jarpa, a remarkable and charismatic sexologist who, together with Nathalie Nicloux, a comedian and actress, travels around the world discovering new ways to live and practice sexuality. Each episode is an X-ray of some city and goes deep into a predetermined topic, seen from the local culture, customs and local perspective.

A journey through the varied industry existing in Tokyo. In Japan the population is declining and apparently their inhabitants are increasingly losing interest in the sentimental relationships. Drivers experiment with toys, dolls, and bars where you pay for a hug or a conversation.
3. Rio de Janeiro
In Carioca paradise, drivers let themselves be carried away by the sensuality that weighs on the atmosphere. From the beach to the living room beauty, and from there to the gym and the surgeon's office, plastic Brazilians set records for plastic surgery and rejuvenating, because they worship beauty.

5. Istanbul
Drivers submerge through the streets of Istanbul to discover and learn the ways of living sexuality in a society in which East and West mix and coexist harmoniously. Through daily characters and activists, they confront the two sides of the coin, what the most conservative Turks question about the way sexuality is lived in the West, what traditions they try to keep alive.
6. Shanghai
Shanghai has been the main scene of the sexual revolution that began in China more or less a decade ago. Some of the things they find: the industrial production of erotic dolls and sex toys; the state-run sex shops, the practice of prostitution despite its illegality, and the possible extinction of the institution of marriage and family in a society that economically lives in maximum prosperity.

A trip to the BDSM community in New York. In this city are every day more those who dare to to experience their fantasies of domination and subjugation. Drivers know the places where this is happening. practice; the stores where you get the instruments and costumes; and they learn experiential different techniques that include lots of latex, strings, whips and masks.

The German capital presents itself as a modern city but quiet; with inhabitants coming from all over the the world; and where one can live as one is given the wins. In this city nudism is something habitual and the drivers practice it.

The fairy tales were collected by Ivi Sofianou from libraries in Munich. The series premiered on Friday, February 5, 1988 and ran for 22 episodes.
