In the series, when Shiv Sheridan returns to Dublin after years of partying in London, she is sober and full of good intentions – but being back with her family makes staying on ‘the dry' much harder than she expected. Shiv searches high-and-low for a sponsor in Dublin as the rest of her family rationalises her staying indefinitely; Shiv organises a family dinner that turns into a disaster.
3. Episode 3
Shiv stumbles upon a family secret that shakes her efforts to settle into life at home; she also bonds with her new sponsor, who encourages her to do a moral inventory.
4. Episode 4
Shiv's family meeting turns into a car crash resulting in her parents revealing that they are in an open relationship, and her new job comes with complications.
5. Episode 5
The aftermath of the family meeting, with the rest of the family harbouring a growing animosity towards Shiv, puts her on a new path that's fraught with peril.
6. Episode 6
Shiv feels guilty for sleeping with Jack after waking up in his studio, and the rest of the Sheridan family starts to unravel.
7. Episode 7
Shiv's sobriety is tested more than ever when she feels Jack has abandoned her, and it becomes compounded when the growing tension in the family threatens to turn tragic.

Shiv prepares to return to London, much to the relief of the Sheridans, but her return is planned for the day of Caroline's engagement party.
