The Farmer's Daughter
The Farmer's Daughter is an American situation comedy series that was produced by Screen Gems Television and aired on ABC from September 20, 1963 to April 22, 1966. It was sponsored by Liggett & Myers Tobacco and Clairol for whom the two leading stars often appeared at show's end promoting the products. It also enjoyed a brief run in syndication when it aired on CBN Cable in the 1980s.
Seasons
1. The Speechmaker (1)
Katy Holstrum, arrives at the home of Congressman Glen Morley. She wants to go to the Congo, but Glen asks her to be governess to his sons. When son Steven writes a speech in school on a controversial topic, Glen's career is in turmoil.
2. The Speechmaker (2)
Katy has quit the Morley's after a fight with Glen. She intends to go to the Congo as planned. However, Glen realizes he made a mistake and asks Katy to come back.
3. Where's Katy?
Katy is always running around for the Morley's, so Glen has an idea: he sets her up with his Swedish masseur. The man asks Katy to marry him, making Glen jealous.
4. An Enterprising Young Man
Glen's obnoxious Army commander from World War II comes to visit. However, he turns the house upside down when he develops the measles and gives Steve some bad advice for school.
5. An Affair of State
While visiting the sites in Washington, Katy meets a handsome man who sweeps her off her feet. Turns out he's the Shah of Iraq, who would rather dance with Katy than meet with a jealous Glen about oil rights.
6. The Washington Spotlight
Congressman Morley is nervous about an upcoming TV appearance and wants it to go well. Katy tries to make things run smoothly but events and people seem to conspire against Mr. Morley's big moment.
7. The Stand-In
A female Congresswoman is so wrapped up in her career that she gives birth and leaves the baby with her husband. However he and Katy come up with a plan to get the politico back home and re arrange priorities.
8. Comes the Revolution
Katy thinks she would make a good diplomat so Glen challenges her to make friends with a communist soldier visiting the US. He and Katy fight but soon he is won over by her charm and Glen gets jealous.
9. Miss Cheese
A young beauty pageant winner is a guest at the Morleys. She seems innocent until her true color, green with dollar signs in her eyes, shows.
10. The Editorial Wheel
While Glen's away, Mr. Cooper gets close to a female reporter who is not a fan of Glen's. Cooper falls for the women who thinks he's just buttering her up for a good article on Glen.
11. I Am the Most Beautiful
Katy and the family learn about a famous boxer in town. She and the boxer get to know each other, and her ideas convince him that many a great man has solved problems with peace and not fists.
12. One Rainy Night
One rainy night Glen, Katy and Steven end up at the home of a Justice of the Peace, when their car breaks down. He mistakes Glen and Katy for a couple wanting to get married.
13. The Simple Life
Katy finds herself at odds with Congressman Glen over an issue and decides to head home to her parent's farm. She thinks it's where she truly belongs until the Morley family begs her to come back, unbeknownst to Glen.
14. The Gypsy Love Song
A young prince from the Middle East stays with the Morleys. While there, he asks to join Steve's school chorus, but the boy sings horribly. He soon learns a valuable lesson about honesty.
15. Mrs. Golden's Opportunity
A friend of the Morley's decides to play matchmaker for Glen and Katy. Mrs. Golden (a take on the famous Molly Goldberg character) meddles in Glen's new relationship while making him think Katy has a boyfriend of her own.
16. Nobody's Perfect
It seems Katy is correcting Mr. Cooper at everything he does and it causes some tension. This makes him re-think about his position in the Morley household. Katy realizes this and tries to clear things up.
17. Mr. Smith and the Birds
Katy meets an elderly man in the park who likes to feed birds. Turns out he was a respected economist under several presidents. He could help Glen with his fight against a cantankerous congressman.
18. Cousin Helga Came to Dinner
Katy's cousin Helga comes with plans to be the first female congressional page. However, she soon falls in love with a young man and realizes a woman's place may really be in the home.
19. Marriage is for Real People
Katy wants to get closer to Glen and takes the advice of Mrs. Morley. However, she fails at every attempt to improve the relationship. Then Katy and Glen then daydream about what life would be like as a married couple.
20. Katy and the Imagemaker
A politico becomes a Professor Henry Higgins when he tries to groom Katy for a political position. However, his intentions are less than honorable, and Glen knows it. This makes Katy more determined to become the protege.
21. The Playboy of Capitol Hill
A playboy congressman asks Katy for a date and soon becomes infatuated with her. He wants to settle down once and for all with Katy as his mate, to Glen's dismay.
22. Bless Our Happy Home
Glen and Katy welcome a newlywed couple to their home. However, the husband ends up spending the honeymoon working with Glen. This causes a rift in which Katy and Glen must work to get the couple back together.
23. Katy and the Prince
Glen's college friend, a prince from Europe, comes to visit with his young daughter. The prince falls for Katy and asks for her hand. A drunken Glen challenges the prince to a duel in hopes of winning back Katy.
24. The Swinger
It's Mama and Papa Holstrum's 30th anniversary. However, Papa is going through a mid-life crisis, and Mama wants a divorce. Katy must bring them back together.
25. Katy Gets Arrested
Katy comes to the defense of 3 Latin American men who are protesting their government. When she and Mrs. Morley gets arrested it causes a lot of embarrassment for Glen but teaches him an important lesson.
26. The Turkish Delight
Katy and Glen get involved with a young, married girl named Sally. Katy agrees to fill in at Sally's job, as a belly dancer (a shock to Glen). Glen tries to tell Sally's dad, Congressman Stacy, that his daughter is married and expecting.
27. Christopher Columbus, Who?
Glen is asked to speak about Christopher Columbus at the behest of a sexy Italian actress. However Katy and papa sabotage the event by saying Leif Ericson discovered America.
28. The One Eyed Sloth
Glen's anthropologist brother returns home for a visit. He asks Glen to get him a government sponsored assignment in Africa. However, after meeting Katy, the younger Morley doesn't want to leave.
29. Young and in Love
Steve has been acting strange lately. The women are convinced it's puppy love. Turns out it is, except Steve is in love with Katy. When Danny and his friends tease Steve, he leaves home in embarrassment.
30. The Morley Report
Steve puts his reputation and Glen's in jeopardy when Steve does a school report on free love. Katy was reading a book on the subject. Soon the story is all over Washington.
31. The Octopus
A young friend of the Morley's stays over and teaches Steve about running a business. Steve takes in the payments and doesn't do the jobs. When his friend runs off with the funds, Steve is left holding the bag.
32. The Next Mrs. Morley
Glen is falling in love with a Washington socialite and it looks serious. She dislikes children and Katy must find a way for Glen to see the woman's true intentions.
33. Rendezvous for Two
Katy and Glen are a bundle of nerves as they're left alone in the house for the weekend. A romantic dinner at home turns into a nightmare causing a big fight. Thankfully two friends help bring Katy and Glen together again.
34. My Son, the Athlete
The Morley's host a young man who's supposed to be a super athlete. Turns out it's all a hoax, the boy is a weakling who's a better student than he is a sports figure.
35. Mismatch Maker
Katy tries to play matchmaker with a senator's son and an ambassador's daughter. However, both fathers can't stand each other, putting a strain on the young couple's relationship.
36. A Locket for Agatha
A man protests outside the Morley house. He accuses Glen of not being on the side of the people. Soon Agatha and the man develop a friendship, much to Glen's chagrin.

The show is now hosted by comedian Aries Spears. Patrice O'Neal hosted the first two seasons, while Jim Breuer hosted Season 3. Rachel Perry introduces the premise of each clip via voice-over. Season 3 of the show introduced credit given to websites the clips are taken from. Previous seasons of the show would only introduce the clips, but website addresses from sites such as ebaumsworld.com or break.com could clearly be seen in the clips.
