But things aren't what they appear as Hajime and Akechi soon find themselves trying to solve a locked-room murder case 10,000 meters in the air!

Hajime and Akechi team up to expose Captain Shida's killer... or is that killers?! Whatever the case, it leads to a situation where the plane itself (including the hundreds of passengers inside) is put in a perilous position and only one person has a shot of saving them all... but it's not Hajime!

One of Kindaichi's earliest cases is a delicate situation as the 14-year-old Hajime is on the trail of Miyuki's missing panties (and watch) from a campground. Complicating matters is the fact that Hajime himself is one of only three suspects, all of whom seem to have an ironclad alibi.

18. “Evil Spirit of the Diving Pool”
In the summer of their third year in middle school, Miyuki drags Hajime to swimming school so he can finally learn, but they stumble upon drama between two divers and former best friends competing for a place at a prestigious high school. An accident happens, putting the wealthy, privileged diver into a coma. Was it down to the rumored "evil spirit of the diving pool"? Hajime suspects a more down-to-earth evil and investigates!

19. “Inspector Kenmochi, Murderer, File 1”
Three years ago, a girl died after being kidnapped and abused. The three minors who were responsible are back on the street, but when one of them is shot, Inspector Kenmochi disappears. Has old man Kenmochi turned vigilante?!

More evidence backs the unpopular idea that the missing Inspector Kenmochi is targeting the former minors out of revenge for what they did to the teenaged Marina three years ago.
