In 1956, Federal Agent Gordon Rogers investigates the reported alien abduction of a Native American family living in rural Connecticut.

Mabel uncovers more information about the alien abduction, while Gordon plans a family-bonding trip with his wife and their new daughter Abigail.
3. Purpose beyond words
Days before their own disappearance, Glennie and Gilberto Sutton reckon with the kidnapping of their daughter. Gordon follows Mabel as she visits a person of interest in the alien abduction case.
4. We're all in the FBI now
Abigail discovers a dark secret about Gordon’s work. Gordon confronts Mabel about her trip to the Sutton Farm, and a neighbor approaches Gordon with a unique question.
5. Let us be her saviors
Gordon’s role in the Suttons disappearance becomes clear, while his dream of a perfect family begins to fall apart.
6. The war
The Suttons flee to safety, while Mabel continues her pursuit of the truth. Gordon receives an unpleasant visit from a fellow government agent.

The full consequences of Gordon’s actions begin to bear down on him. Mabel works with the Suttons to help rescue their daughter.
8. Homeward bound to nowhere
