Si and Dave get on their motorbikes to search for the authentic flavours of Italy, from simple local ingredients to spicy nduja pate and top quality gelato.

Si and Dave explore the culinary delights of Sardinia including almond and orange cakes, sample a kind of sheep's black pudding in the mountainous interior and a stew served by the 'King'.

Dave and Si explore the culinary delights of Corsica, discovering the ingredients that make up the basics of the island's food - meat, cheese and chestnuts.

The boys begin their journey in Marseille where they sample bourride - fish stew. Taste the local beef stew in the Camargue and learn about Roman cuisine in Nimes. In the orchards of Ceret they discover a form of swiss roll.

The Hairy Bikers look at the British influence in the Med as they visit Minorca and Majorca. They discover the birthplace of mayonnaise, meet some British settlers in Majorca and cook up some classic local dishes.

The duo explore the Moorish influence on the culture and cuisine of Spain in Valencia. They head inland to a valley where crops are grown on hillside terraces. Then it is back to the coast to a restaurant with a reputation for seafood.
