The brother of a girl Matty's interested in tells him that there's a guy hassling her. So Matty goes to see him and the guy beats him up. At the hospital, along with Rags, Buddy, and Raffy deduce that they guy is a cop because of the way he behaved and things he said. They later learn that he is, Dallas Germany, a cop and that Rags knows he is a sadist. They also discover that he is now a killer for hire. they discover, who his next target and Buddy and a female cop take their places. But something goes wrong and Dallas shows up and holds them. It seems that in addition to being a killer, he is also a shakedown artist; he asks his marks for money for him not to kill them but he kills them anyway. Buddy bluffs him into waiting until the morning. Raffy shows up as a pizza delivery man and he tells him what's going on. Rags clears the street which alerts Dallas to what's going on. A mob hires a hit man to kill his son's girlfriend after she goes to the DA with potentially devastating information, and the Hats are called on to protect the woman and track down the killer.
11. The Liquidator
A death-row inmate tips the Hats to a group of killer cops, so the squad must compile evidence against the miscreants before they wipe the brothers out.

Telecrime
Telecrime was a British drama series that aired on the BBC Television Service from 1938 to 1939 and in 1946. One of the first multi-episode drama series ever made, it is also one of the first television dramas written especially for television not adapted from theatre or radio. Having first aired for 5 episodes from 1938 to 1939, Telecrime returned in 1946, following the resumption of television after World War II, and aired as Telecrimes. A whodunit crime drama, Telecrime showed the viewer enough evidence to solve the crime themselves. Most episodes were written by Mileson Horton. All 17 episodes are lost. Aired live, their preservation was not technically possible at the time.
