1. The Long Beach Story (a.k.a. The Smuggling Story)
Sharing a taxicab with a ballet dancer leads Lanyard to smuggled rubies and a confrontation with hijackers.
2. The Avalanche Story (a.k.a. The Reno Story)
Visiting Reno to find a woman who supposedly died during the war, Mike is implicated in the death of two government couriers and ends up on a stalled train looking for stolen explosives.
3. The Chinese Story
In San Francisco's Chinatown, Mike helps an old friend stop a campaign of intimidation and murder.
4. The Carnival Story
In London, Lanyard is investigating threats against the life of a world-famous ballet dancer when she apparently commits suicide.
5. The Blue Lantern Story
Lanyard is recruited by the Govt. to find out where all the top criminals have been disappearing to. He is to contact an agent named Anson is New York. Upon contact Anson is killed and the only lead he leaves Lanyard is key to the Blue Lantern dance hall. The attempt to infiltrate fails and his next gamble takes him to the Blue Lantern in New Orleans where he is more successful and the final key to the puzzle leads him to the Copper Mountain Lodge in Nevada.
6. The Ski Story
Mike's vacation at a Sun Valley ski lodge is interrupted by murder.
7. Plantation Story
Mike is summoned to a sugar plantation in Manila to investigate illegal dumping by a competitor.

In San Francisco, Mike follows a lead on the man who double-crossed him and murdered his business partner five years ago.

A weekend party in Malibu takes an ominous turn when the host's diamonds are stolen and the dead body of his wife washes up on the beach.

In this first episode of the series Lanyard arrives in Las Vegas on vacation, where he gets involved with a cop and his brother who is wanted for murder.

Lanyard travels to Chicago when he receives an urgent note from Joey Crocetti. A war time buddy who saved Lanyard in Italy during the war. Lanyard discovers Joey is on the run from the police, and he sets out to try to prove his friend innocent.

Lanyard leaves Mexico but once he arrives back the US he is immediately arrested by the police and put into hospital quarantine. To Lanyards shock he discovers he's been in contact with people who are dying of cholera.

Lanyard searches through the oil fields of Oklahoma for a boy kidnapped by his father from his mother's home.
19. The Boy Story
Lanyard takes a vacation. While enjoying his boat a young boy tries to sell him a gun. Before he knows it he is in a life and death struggle against forces he didn't even realize were active.

Mike searches the waterfront for Helen Calder, a missing heiress who can be identified by an emerald ring.

Discovering that a recently deceased man's greedy children are looking for a fortune that he hid before he died, Mike decides to make sure that the money goes to his beloved housekeeper instead.
