In all honesty, I found "The Resurrected" a little too darkly cruel and cynical, for my liking.

Capably acted with an intriguing, if at times, overly complex script, this series is a deep dive into what motivates people to do terrible, unforgivable things to one another. Beyond that you have a tale of organised crime, sexual abuse, torture and cruelty that can be hard to stomach.

To be honest, I came close to not finishing this one for the aforementioned reasons. It was only because I wanted to know who did what to whom and why that I kept watching.

Would I come back for a second season? No. This one's more depressing than it could ever be called entertaining.

In summary, a complex story with well-rendered characters, but be warned, the context it takes place in is unsettling, sad and disturbing.

You've reached the end.
