In Travels with Agatha with Sir David Suchet, the actor will replicate Poirot author Christie’s journey, which spanned former British Empire territories Canada, Hawaii, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia as part of a trade mission. Each episode will feature one of the five countries.

David travels to locations Agatha Christie visited, immersing himself in countries she explored to uncover the literary enigma's inspirations.
1. South Africa
Sir David Suchet recreates Agatha Christie’s 1922 journey to Southern Africa, visiting vineyards, diamond mines and the epic Victoria Falls. He learns how this inspired Agatha’s novel "The Man in the Brown Suit" and confronts the complex legacy of British imperialist Cecil Rhodes.
2. Australia
Sir David Suchet follows Agatha Christie to Australia, recreating her 1922 journey to Tasmania and Melbourne. He sees how Agatha’s fame spread with the publication of The Secret Adversary, and visits the jam factory, power station and vast homestead that she visited a century ago.
3. New Zealand
Agatha Christie’s 1922 Empire tour takes Sir David Suchet to New Zealand where he explores woollen mills and gold mines and is guided by Maori around geothermal hot springs. Sir David learns how travel fostered Agatha’s growing independence, and why his beloved Poirot hates the sea.
4. Hawaii
Sir David Suchet follows Agatha Christie to Hawaii, where she holidayed in 1922. He delves into her passion for surfing and asks how travel informed her novels. He also looks beyond the clichés to reveal the real Hawaii, meeting beach boys, cacao farmers, hula masters and lei makers.
5. Canada
Sir David Suchet recreates Agatha Christie’s 1922 trip to Canada where he goes stargazing, ranching and takes a train across the Rockies. He discovers why indigenous people were absent from Agatha’s itinerary and explores Canadian identity at the National Gallery in Ottawa.

Oggy and the Cockroaches
