Under One Roof
Hitotsu Yane no Shita is a Japanese television series. It had a first season in 1993 and a second season, titled Hitotsu Yane no Shita 2, in 1997. It was very popular in Japan, with its highest rating being a remarkable 34 percent and it was also exported to other regions in East Asia. It features Yosuke Eguchi, Noriko Sakai and Masaharu Fukuyama as its leading characters.
Seasons
Seven years ago, the Kashiwagi couple were killed in a car accident. They left behind six children, who were forced to live in different families. However, after a career-ending injury, Tatsuya decides to reunite his brothers and sisters to live together under one roof. To his disappointment, he is met with resentment and discord.

1. Episode 1
A marathon runner seeks out his five siblings, who became separated after their parents' death seven years prior, to tell them he is getting married.

2. Episode 2
Koyuki invites her siblings to Tatsuya's place to tell them he's taken Fumiya into his care. Kazuya attacks a coworker and is arrested by the police.

3. Episode 3
Koume starts working at a hostess bar to save up money for college. Kazuya sees her entering the bar and tells Tatsuya, who resolves to make her quit.

4. Episode 4
Jasmine, a woman who works at the hostess bar, drops by Tatsuya's store and leaves a baby behind. Later, Koume brings home a stray puppy.

5. Episode 5
After Koyuki catches Fumiya singing, Tatsuya tries to enroll him in middle school, but the school declines, saying he should focus on rehabilitation.

6. Episode 6
Jasmine asks Tatsuya to pretend to be her boyfriend so that a wealthy man will stop pursuing her. Kazuya pesters Koume to set him up with her friend.

7. Episode 7
Koyuki tells Tatsuya that her proposal was only meant to cheer him up. Kazuya learns that Shiori is pregnant and that her boyfriend won't contact her.

8. Episode 8
After Koyuki says she doesn't want to see her mother, Tatsuya decides to meet with her alone. Koume stumbles upon evidence that Koyuki was adopted.

9. Episode 9
Unaware that her mother only came to Tokyo to ask for money, Koyuki calls Tatsuya and asks for her address. Tatsuya rushes to visit her mother first.

10. Episode 10
Rumiko's brother-in-law Goro visits the house to apologize for her actions, but Fumiya refuses to see him. Later, Tatsuya asks Goro to tutor Fumiya.

11. Episode 11
A lawyer representing Koume's assailant offers to settle out of court, but Tatsuya and his siblings turn him away. Tatsuya considers legal action.

12. Episode 12
Tatsuya's insistence on suing tears his family apart once again. Hoping to bring his siblings together, he enters a marathon on his injury-prone leg.
