Virgin of the Secret Service
Set in the 1900s, when the British Secret Service was a new, unofficial arm of military activity, the series features Captain Robert Virgin - an officer and a gentleman who fights as a man of honour. Armed only with intelligence, ingenuity, physical strength and abundant charm, Virgin faces every sort of peril as he defends King and country - from industrial espionage to anarchist bomb plots, assassination attempts to kidnapping.

Virgin and Doublett have a desperate mission to Brazil thrust upon them when Colonel Shaw-Camberley learns that a vital rubber plantation is not being worked, and that the company manager's daughters are in dire danger.

Virgin and Doublett uncover a plot to stir the Indian princes against the British Raj, masterminded by von Brauner.
7. Persuasion of a Million Drops
A Swiss professor develops a paralysing gas, and von Brauner is quick to see the possibilities if he can obtain the secret for himself and his ally Generalissimo Chu Chen Yu.

Von Brauner has been ordered to arrange the assassination of the King of Croatia.
9. Across the Silver Pass of Gusri Song
An ancient prophesy tells of a white warrior who will cross the Silver Pass and claim the immortal Shang Li as his bride. Von Brauner plans to make himself the warrior, thus wrecking a proposed trade treaty; but Virgin has a trump card.

As the Colonel arrives in Egypt to investigate the disappearance of no fewer than seven British officers, he narrowly escapes becoming the eighth. Can Virgin's timely arrival help save the Colonel's life as well as thwarting a plot to seize the Suez Canal?

When Virgin is faced with a plot to assassinate the King and seize the Crown Jewels, he finds that he will have to work with von Brauner during the occasion of the state visit of the Kaiser.

When an Englishman in America invents a magnometer - a device that locates oil - he is kidnapped by von Brauner and would-be oil tycoon Big Jack.
