Golden Boys

Every week, 10 elderly gays gather in a room lighten by neon lights in the LGBT Center of Tel-Aviv. Being part of a community that sanctifies youth, this intimate space is these old gays last and only shelter, where they can age and deal with aging openly: from sexuality and body image at old age, to loneliness and to the member's condition as widowers, divorcees and-or grandparents. Instead of the typical sociological and biographical documentation, the movie follows these witty seniors and their funny dialogues in the room and gives a humoristic glimpse to the ruthless process of aging.

The summer ahead is long and hot but the burden of shame from the past is haunting Joonas, 24, and driving him to solitude. A sudden phone call changes the direction of his summer and brings Joonas to an old manor for a summer job, forcing him to open up to his new workmates and to face his shame. Joonas works hard under the burning sun, driven by his past mistakes, whilst the others lounge under the calming shade of trees. On the last day the group loses track of time and misses the last bus home. They are left at the old manor and a magical midsummer night begins.

Six Hours: Surviving Typhoon Yolanda

In the middle of a broadcast about Typhoon Yolanda's initial impact, reporter Jiggy Manicad was faced with the reality that he no longer had communication with his station. They were, for all intents and purposes, stranded in Tacloban. With little option, and his crew started the six hour walk to Alto, where the closest broadcast antenna was to be found. Letting the world know what was happening to was a priority, but they were driven by the need to let their families and friends know they were all still alive. Along the way, they encountered residents and victims of the massive typhoon, and with each step it became increasingly clear just how devastating this storm was. This was a storm that was going to change lives.

The Old Silo Farm

Inside is not just rot and rust, but something alive — or something pretending to be. A third presence makes itself known: The Watcher, a voice that speaks only in whispers and seems tied to the land itself. As night falls and strange phenomena begin, the siblings realize the farm wasn’t abandoned — it was quarantined.
