Taner is a young inventor living in a small town named Gedelli in the middle of the moor. He had lost his father so he was forced to support his family therefore he was not able to attend the Science High School, to which he was admitted, although he wanted it badly. Taner’s mother always tried to get him married, but Taner had no intention to do it as there was a love in his heart, which he had not been able to forget for years. His childhood sweetheart Dilek.

Centered around a personally troubled, officially discredited police chief and his inharmonious police team in Ankara Police Force. Even though the show usually focuses on murders and other crimes that happens on a weekly basis, the undertone of the story leads to an eventual duel between Behzat Ç. and the rotten department officials and bureaucrats.

Gelecek (aka. Future) takes its viewer through two days in the life of Deniz, an unemployed young man living with his grandfather Orhan in the metropolis of Istanbul. In their daily struggles, both challenge each other's views on existence, being, and the future. The film deals with themes of inertia and loneliness.
