Excited about a new job opportunity, Luciana was walking down the street when two men tried to steal her purse. Just when they thought they would never see each other again after he saved her from a robbery, fate gave Luciana and Roberto a big surprise. When he went to pick up his daughter at his ex's house, Luciana went out to meet him again. The psychologist explains that, despite her grandmother's hopes, everything indicates that her father committed fraud. Disturbed by her son's strange behavior, Inés reunites him with Memo and Enrique to reveal the crime he committed with his cousin. Adrián cannot contain his remorse and confesses to his father that they are the ones responsible for running over the two young men on the road.

After hearing about the attack that “El Greñas” suffered in prison, Roberto asks to alert the media about what happened, as the attention on the prisoner would prevent the Ferrer from harming him. Unaware that Clara is Adrián's accomplice in separating her from Daniel, Alexandra clarifies everything. The young woman announces to her ex-boyfriend that their romance won't have another chance, because she only loves Daniel himself. The Ferrer once again use their power to put an end once and for all to the threat posed by “El Greñas”. But this time, the prisoner goes one step further and avoids being eliminated. Safe after the attacks he has suffered, “El Greñas” is filled with a great thirst for revenge. And knowing that the Ferrer are behind it all, the prisoner shows up at Memo's house to threaten Mariana.

Unable to escape the fugitive's threats, Memo and Mariana are forced to follow his orders. “El Greñas” makes it clear to them that they can't get rid of him so easily. Summoned to Mariana's house without knowing it was a trap, Enrique falls into the hands of “El Greñas”, who forces him to follow his orders and sign a new agreement to save his life and escape from prison. Despite being bound hand and foot, Memo manages to free himself to confront “El Greñas” and save Enrique and Mariana. The villain doesn't touch his heart and detonates his gun to end the fugitive's life. Unaware of the crime at Mariana's house, Roberto is very close to the property. Memo's mother was forced to open the door of her house for fear that the body of “El Greñas” would be seen.

After Memo saved his life in the face of threats from “Greñas”, Enrique is grateful to his nephew for the first time. While the candidate hugged him tightly, Mariana watched nervously. Desperate to be free of Francisco's control and unable to make his own decisions, Enrique finally explodes. The politician proposes to Karina that she get rid of her father-in-law in order to live out her love too. Filled with remorse, Adrián visits Tobías' grave to apologize and try to ease his pain. At that moment, Elena and Daniel show up to see him out of control and nervous. Hoping that “El Greñas” would show up to clear up the whole Saldaña affair, Roberto receives some hard news. His boss warns him about the fugitive's body and the blow to the Ferrer family.

Hurt by Enrique's disappointment, Inés decides to repay him with the same coin. The candidate's wife seeks out Leonardo to spend a night with him, unaware that he is only by her side out of interest. Fed up with Adrián's constant mistakes, Francisco confronts him and reveals that the death of “Greñas” was caused by Memo. He also makes it clear that he won't touch his heart to get rid of him. In the midst of his sadness over his break-up with Alexandra, Daniel has a deep and strange dream. His mind flashes back to the night his brother was run over, and images of his beloved and Adrián appear. Fearing that Joaquín has discovered that he is spying on him and that he knows he is a traitor, Roberto puts a plan into action. The prosecutor makes him believe that, from now on, he will be his right-hand man.

Terrified that Daniel will recover his memory, Adrián seeks out Alexandra to warn her. Enrique's son offers her his protection, but she ends up rejecting him completely. Inés threatens Alexandra's father with blaming her for Tobías' death. The Ferrer fear that Daniel will recover his memory. Inés confesses her contempt for Luciana, but then wants to win back her trust. When they learn that Daniel is very close to recovering his memory, Enrique, Inés and Adrián become nervous. All three are terrified that the young man will remember what happened the night he and his brother were hit by a car. Worried about the image they are giving off as a family, Enrique and Inés put a plan into action to appear reconciled. In this way, the couple try to get Luciana and Pato to support them, despite the secrets they are keeping.

To get his family back together and get Luciana and Pato to support him in Adrián's crime, Enrique organizes a meal that gets out of hand. Inés and Adrián are furious at the politician's infidelity with Karina. Confronted by her father about the scandal in which she is seen in a video very close to Leonardo, Mariana reveals her big secret. Inés' sister confesses that Memo really is Enrique's son. Determined to forget Alexandra forever, Daniel begins to enjoy Clara's company, without imagining that he is blackmailing his great love.
